ASHINGTON — After four straight weeks of declines, the average on-highway price of a gallon of diesel rose slightly for the week ending February 13.
The Energy Information Administration of the Department of Energy reported Monday a price increase of seven-tenths of one cent to $2.565.
The price had gone down 3.6 cents a gallon over the past four weeks.
Only one region of the country — the Midwest region — showed a decline and that was only five-tenths of one cent.
The largest increase was on the Gulf Coast where the price went up 2.1 cents.
The price was up 1.3 cents a gallon on the West Coast.
The price this week is 58.5 cents a gallon higher than one year ago.
